As part of the “Anchored – Growing in Faith through the Seasons” program, Dana and Brenda had a fun chat with Miranda Rodgers. Miranda attends St. Catherine School in Picture Butte and she was awarded the Christian Living Award and a Saint of the Month Award at the school’s year end Awards Ceremony.
The award opens with the following reading, chosen by her teacher, Lisa Constant:
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves in compassion, humility, gentleness, and patience. —Colossians 3:12
What an honor! When we think of ‘Anchored – Growing in Faith through the Seasons,’ we may automatically think of people in their adult years and how their faith has sustained them and grown as they have faced challenges and struggles. But here is a young person heading to Grade 5 in September humbly living her faith every day.
Miranda is known for her compassion and kindness to everyone and believes that we all can have more than one best friend – in fact we can have many best friends. During her interview she told us that her brother, Ethan, also received a Saint of the Month Award – 2 years in a row, so we fired up the video and had a quick chat with him too!
Miranda has many qualities of a young faith-filled leader in the making. Watch the full interview here:
